  I told Richard when they get here to pull off the road fast and into the woods out of sight then we can take our time putting them away and securing supplies. Richard knows this place well he has hunted and fished here. Just then a pickup came pulling off the road and Richard and another person got out. Richard said you know my friend bill and Goldie said yes we met. This is Tim one of my trusted leaders. Richard said glad to have you with us Tim we need all the good men we can get. Richard said the others will be coming shortly. I advised them to come in a few moments apart, here is one now. A jeep grand Cherokee came turning into the woods and Goldie motioned him to pull under the trees out of sight. One by one eleven more Cherokees came in a few minuets apart. They waited to make certain they were not followed then Richard and his men walked over to where the others were waiting.

  Tim asked how did you get your hands on these vehicles and Richard said one of our supporters has a dealership. He fixed us up with them. They are all titled and registered under fictitious names and a friend entered them in the motor vehicle bureau records so if they are checked they will be on record as properly owned. Here are driver licenses matching the owner registration your drivers can carry in case they are ever stopped or checked. We have additional field rations and other personal supplies and smokes and extra blankets if you need them. There are M-16’s with ammunition, grenades, and launchers in the cargo space under the floor in each vehicle.

  What are your plans Goldie for the next few days? There are some Ohio guard troops with United Nations observers and federal troops set up in the old Jap factory at Blanchester and some more are in the old school at Clarksville. There is also a contingent of Ohio guard and federal administrators housed in the school at the west end of Wilmington. That looks like the command post that supports their people spread out over the county. I want to create some problems for them at those three locations.

  Richard asked will you be able to keep the vehicles hidden when at camp? Goldie told him of his farmer friend offering the use of a vacant building to hide the vehicles in only a short hike from here. Well Goldie you have things well in hand here and I have work to do so I must take my men and leave for now. They boarded the mini bus and Richard said take care my friend I will be in contact. After Richard had left Goldie sat down with his sons and Tim and explained the actions planned for the next few days. He said it’s time to have the men get their weapons and gear and lets make sure they are all comfortable with the weapons. Also you boys have all used grenades and launchers we need to show the men how to use them effectively.

  Tim called all the men together and Goldie began to advise the men regarding plans. First he explained how the vehicles were set up. Each team leader, which would be Tim, James, Jeffrey, and Joshua, will have a set of keys to a vehicle and a spare set for one driver of each vehicle. For the time being I will work with Tim as the headquarters team. That will give us fifteen men on each team, counting me sixteen. We have twelve vehicles that are four for each team. With four men to a vehicle that leaves plenty of space for equipment and supplies. The men said I don’t know how you set this up but we sure have everything we need. He said our friend Richard has all the connections and coordinates all efforts south of Columbus. He said each team leader will have a two-way military type radio to keep in contact with me and Tim but use it only for emergencies. Now lets check out the equipment then each of you get your M-16’s so we can check you out with them.

  He had them divide the grenades and launchers evenly among each team and assigned the vehicles for each team and issued the keys. He told the men starting tonight we will have to post a lookout while we are in camp, you team leaders work that out so we have a sentry posted with relief’s scheduled every three hours. I want to work things out so that all teams will not be out on a detail at the same time that way someone will always be here at the camp. Now lets see about the weapons. First for those of you who have not trained with the military lets look at the ammo. James you and your brothers show everyone how to load two thirty round banana clips and tape them together so they can be reversed for fast reload. After that had been done have each man lock and load their weapons keeping the safety on at all times. They had the men run through the procedure several times until all were familiar enough to feel comfortable. Then he showed them how to set the firing rate on automatic and semi automatic.

  Now there is one more thing to look at. He opened a box of C-4 plastic explosive and pulled a strip of the plastic out. He rolled it into a ball the size of a baseball and tossed it into the air letting it strike the ground then picked it up. This stuff is safe and harmless until a fuse is attached and ignited. Once lit a piece this size will destroy a building the size of a two-story home. He showed them how to insert a fuse in the plastic. Remember this point he said, when lit each one-inch of fuse gives you one second before blast. This one for instance is an eight-inch fuse, which means after I light it I have eight seconds to return to my vehicle and start my getaway. You can cut the fuses shorter or longer; depending on how much time you need to get out. Remember also, when a blast goes off the natural thing is for people to look or go see what happened, which allows you a few seconds more.

  Tomorrow we will make our explosives and go over plans for action. But for now lets all have coffee and a snack then get some rest for the morning will come soon enough. After the men had eaten Tim said his team would take guard duty for the rest of the night. He went to post his lookout then returned and said relief are set up. Later after the men had settled in for the night Goldie, Tim, and his sons sat for a moment discussing the activities they would be engaging in. All agreed the men were strong hearted and would perform with courage and follow orders well. Goldie told them we are in a struggle for liberty and we will need all the courage we can muster in the days to come. Slowly the men relaxed under their blankets and slept.

  Goldie awoke to the smell of coffee and saw the men seated around having a breakfast of field rations. He got himself a can of Pepsi and a sausage sandwich and sat down with the men. After eating he leaned back for a moment then said when everyone is finished lets get one box of plastic out for each team. He said the buildings we are going after are brick and block so we will make these about the size of softball to cause more damage. One box will make four softball size bombs, each which is what each team will need tonight. Remember! Pick out the door or window where you intend to throw it into and get ready, light and throw, and move out quickly. I suggest all teams use eight inch fuses for the jobs we have set for tonight.

  After lunch the men were assembled to receive instructions for the actions planned for that night. There is a small group of about twenty or so national guardsmen with United Nations observers housed in the old Japanese car factory at Blanchester. Joshua you are very familiar with the location of that factory at Blanchester are you not? Joshua replied that he was and some of the other men on his team said they were also. Goldie said you teams assignment for tonight will be to hit that outpost. I would recommend you approach from the south route into the city, then turn east as soon as you cross over the railroad tracks. That will bypass the downtown area where the local police station is located, and bring you out on the main highway in front of the factory. Joshua said yes it would bring us out about a block from the factory. Right Goldie said, I have been by there recently and there are no street lights working near the building and no outside perimeter lighting and I saw no sentries though there may be now.

  There is an alley that runs behind and curves around the building and comes back out on the main highway. I suggest two of your vehicles take that side exit to the rear while the other two stay in front on the highway. Have two men at the rear move in and throw two incendiary grenades each into different windows of the building while two men cover them. Then exit by the side road and meet up with the others. Have two vehicles wait in front across the street where the old dairy store was. When you hear the explosions in back pull directly in front, have two men throw two fragme
nt grenades each into the front of the building at both entrances to block any from exiting. When the two rear vehicles pull out swing in behind and all head south the way you came in then make your way back to camp. Important, start your attack at exactly nine o clock.

  James your team’s job is to take out the old Clarksville school where Ohio guard troops are bedded down. I suggest you approach the site from the east drive past and look for guards then turn left at the light and pull up past the old village water pond behind the school. The embankment there will hide your vehicles. Drivers and two men stay with the vehicles while the rest approach the old school from the rear. If all is quiet have one man light and toss two C-4 softball size explosives into the front stairwell entrance to the building while two others cover him. Light and throw the bombs at exactly nine o’clock then retreat back towards the rear of the building. The rest of you in the rear, when you hear the explosions in front have two men light and throw two baseball sized C-4 bombs thru the windows at both rear corners of the building while others cover them. Then all team members move out fast to your vehicles. Proceed south out of the village past the cemetery then make your way back to camp.

  Tonight Tim I will accompany you and your team tonight. We are going after the main Ohio guard headquarters at Wilmington. They are quartered in the elementary school building at the west end of town and there are UN observers and state administrators with them. Most of the guard personnel are support type but a few are military police cadre. A friend advises they have a guard posted out front in the entrance parking area. We will approach from the south then west to the building. Two vehicles proceed past the school turn right at the caution light and pull into the apartment parking lot across the street from the school. Your jobs will be to provide cover fire from that position, but only if it becomes necessary. Tim and I will pull the other two vehicles into the old welding shop on the west side of the building.

  I will move in and dispose of the sentry then signal you for the others to move in. Leave drivers and one man with each vehicle to cover us on the way back if needed. That leaves three men to move into position at the rear of the building that would be to the right from where we enter and park. Each of you brings one baseball size explosive and one fragment grenade, but have your carbines armed and ready if needed. The other three will take the front of the building where I will be waiting. Each man brings their weapons armed and ready. Important when all are in place I will start the action at exactly nine o’clock by lighting and tossing a softball size missile into the front where I’m told the officer’s quarters are. I will follow that by throwing several fragment and incendiary grenades thru the windows along the front of the building as we move back towards the vehicles.

  Note, when you men in the rear hear the explosions up front, each of you throw one fragment grenade thru the windows at different places then move out and cover with us if needed. Once we are all safely in our vehicles we will pull out and turn left heading west away from town. You drivers pull out of the apartment parking area and follow us at a short distance until all are safely out of town.

  Now this concerns all of us. In any operation we take part in there is one standing order in effect at all times. We leave no man behind. Now you men all get some rest we will move out at dusk so as to be in place by nine o’clock. That evening Goldie told Joshua you have the further distance to drive move your team out now. Good hunting we will see you back at camp. A few moments later he told james time to mount up, I’ll see you later. He looked at Tim and said it is time. He looked at Jeffrey and his men and said you guys can sit this one out and watch the camp. All teams should be coming back in around ten o’clock be wary.

  They pulled up to the school building and the last two vehicles turned into the apartments as planned. Their drivers pulled into the welding shop adjacent to the school. It was five till nine as Goldie said I saw one guard up front there’s another at that far corner out back. Tim said that’s all he saw. Goldie said the two can’t see one another so this should be no problem. I will take care of the one back here first, then when you see me move around towards the front sentry move your men in. Goldie pulled his knife and silently moved towards the guard. Seconds later they say a shadow rise behind the guard just before he slumped to the ground. Tim saw a shape moving towards the front, recognized Goldie and said lets go men.

  He turned the corner and moved towards the second guard and in seconds it was done. The men moved up and he said follow me with your guns ready to cover if needed. He threw a C-4 thru the main window then broke into a run throwing grenades in windows as he ran. Explosions were sounding behind them as they made their way to the rear of the building. As soon as the men saw them they started lobbing their grenades into the building then made their way to the vehicles. There was no returning fire as the vehicles moved out and were joined by those across the street. They headed west then turned south where an old army site used to be and proceeded at a normal rate of speed making their way back towards the falls Ville camp.

  All teams reported back with no losses and in good spirits. All reported substantial damage to their targets and there had been no resistance. Goldie said we caught them all off guard this time but it will not always be so. They also will have their day and we must be prepared to fight our way out when it comes. For now though we will enjoy this victory. We have been fortunate thus far. No one knows who we are or how many of us there is so we can rest. He said you guys all go home and spend a few days with your families. I have something I have been working on and if it works out you will hear it on the news. Either way I will contact you when our next move is decided. Goldie said goodbye to his sons and the men and said enjoy your time at home. Afterwards he called his friend Richard and advised him of the plan he had been working on.

  He told Richard he had a couple of friends that worked at the television station in Dayton. One is an engineer the other is the station program director. Some time back we taped a fifteen-minute video program for television. In it I inform the listening audience of conditions in America and our state. I advise them their government in Washington has betrayed them. I then advise them they must choose whether to submit to slavery under a Moslem led new world order or resist and defend liberty. I then challenge every gun owner, hunter, and sportsman and every father and mother who want their children to live free to join our fight for liberty. I ask them to join their local militia and fight for freedom. I ask every American to attack the occupation forces wherever they see them and make the streets unsafe for the enemies of freedom. I end the tape by asking every member of our armed forces to revolt and eliminate the traitors who command their units.

  I hope to secure the building long enough to air the program over the statewide emergency network. Richard said we have a team of ex green berets that have been doing special jobs like some of those you have done. They would be perfect for such an operation and eager to help carry this plan out. If you want I will bring them over tomorrow at noon to meet and work with you on this. Goldie said tomorrow noon sound great, with these guys we might just get it done. I’ll see you then tomorrow, is there anything else you need? Not right now but later we’ll need some things I’m sure. Ok Richard said tomorrow at noon it is. Later he called Tim and asked him to drive by the house and see if his wife was ok then call him back. A while later Tim called and said there may be a problem he would be right out to camp to explain. I’ll bring some Pepsi and smokes, anything else you need. He said that would be good for now, see ya.

  A few minuets later Tim showed up and said when I drove by your home I noticed a guard vehicle parked across the street at the market. They appeared to be watching the highway but he didn’t want to take a chance. Goldie said they might have traced me somehow, I hope not for her sake. By the way Tim asked, what is the special job? Goldie told him of his plans to take over the station and broadcast a message over the airways. And that Richard was bringing a team of ex army special forces over at noon tomorrow to help me
carry it out. Tim said at noon, he sure would like to be in on this. Goldie said come over about noon tomorrow and set in on the planning. Tim said I’ll be here, and I’ll take another look around your house and call you when I get back. Goldie said thanks man, see you tomorrow. Later Tim called to say the guard vehicle had left maybe it wasn’t anything to worry about. Goldie said thanks, lets hope so, but I don’t think I will chance a visit tonight.

  The Call To Arms

  The next morning Tim came in and a few moments later Richard and his men showed up. The oldest member of the green berets was a former captain the rest were all retired senior enlisted men. The captain said Richard has told us some of what is planned how do you plan to carry it out. Goldie said what I have in mind is taking over the station and tying all the station workers up and securing them inside by the entrance doors. My friends there will install the program on the statewide emergence broadcast system and set it to interrupt regular programming after we leave the station.

  We lock the doors and plant explosives at all entrances to prevent anyone getting in to stop the program. Regular programming will continue long enough for us to get out before my taped announcement cuts in. No one will know anything is wrong until the program comes on their television screens. We should be gone and the program completed by the time anyone gets past the explosives or sets them off. Richard said my God man if we can pull this off our numbers will increase, and this could be copied and replayed across the country by others.

  My friends at the station tell me that at any given time there are five to seven persons in the station. It is located in a single floor building with unguarded front and rear entrances. There are no armed personnel in the offices and some are male some female. There are six of you plus Tim and myself. We should have no problem immobilizing the people and securing the building. Richard asked what about your two friends at the station. Goldie said they are in an office of their own. We will leave them tied, bound, and gagged when we leave just like the others. No one should know they acted voluntarily. The captain asked what day and time have you in mind? Goldie said I am advised Saturdays in the afternoon is the best since that is when most programming is routine and fewer people are in the building. Also Saturdays most people are off work at home and our viewing audience would be the greatest.
